A School Readiness Program for ages 5 & 6
Led By: Sarah Lynch, LSW
Who: Children entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade in the Fall
When: June 23-July 30, 2025
Mondays and Wednesdays 10am-12pm

Our School Readiness Program is designed to help incoming kindergarteners and first graders develop the essential skills needed for a successful transition to elementary school. This supportive program combines structured goals with engaging activities to build confidence and competence in young learners. Sarah Lynch, a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Autism Informed Professional, and child development specialist, will facilitate twice weekly 120-minute (2 hour) group work combining structured activities with play-based learning. Meetings attempt to mirror typical expectation of a school day while parents receive guidance on supporting their child's transition. Ideal for children entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade in the fall of 2025 who would benefit from additional preparation, including those with mild anxiety, attention difficulties, diverse learning needs, or social challenges. In order to allow for the best learning experience, this group will be capped at 6 members.

A Social and Emotional Skill-Building Group For Children
Led By: Dr. Adam Mills
Who: Children ages 6-8 years
When: Saturdays 9-10am
Where: Main Office
"The Skillz Studio" is an engaging and dynamic social skills group designed specifically to meet the needs and challenges of young children ages 6-8 years. Dr. Adam Mills helps children embark on a journey of social exploration using a series of carefully crafted activities, games, and exercises that focus on key social skills essential for this age group. Children thrive in this structured and supportive environment as they learn about effective communication, respecting and setting boundaries, sharing, turn-taking, problem-solving, teamwork, reading social cues, and resolving conflicts, among other topics. "The Skillz Studio" is designed to foster a sense of belonging and encourages positive relationships, allowing children to build self-confidence, empathy, and resilience. Using a strength based approach, Dr. Mills provides personalized support, guiding children through challenges to promote social success.

Trading Card Connections
A Trading Card Game Centered Group for Middle Schoolers
Led By: Dr. Hilary Hines
Who: Ages 10 -13
When: Thursdays 5 - 6pm

Welcome to our Interactive Trading Card therapeutic group for kids, where fun and friendship meet personal growth using interactive trading card games such as Lorcana and Pokémon! In this engaging environment, young players come together to play, strategize, and learn valuable life skills. Guided by Dr. Hilary Hines, participants will engage in fun gameplay that explore themes of teamwork, resilience, problem-solving, and emotional expression as they build decks and compete in friendly matches. Each session incorporates discussions about challenges and victories, helping kids develop communication skills and boost their self-esteem, as well as navigate their own feelings and experiences. Join us for an adventure where every card drawn leads to new friendships and personal growth in a supportive and imaginative setting!

A Socially Focused Role-Play Group for Pre-Teens/Teens
Led By: Dr. Adam Mills
Who: Ages 11-15
When: Saturdays 11am-12:30pm or 5-6:30pm

Introducing "Social Legends," an exciting therapy group specifically developed for preteens, where the enchanting world of Dungeons and Dragons and Critical Core merges with the transformative power of therapy. In this engaging and supporting environment, kids in 6th-8th grade embark on thrilling quests while fostering emotional growth, resilience, and social skills. Dr. Mills, who has conducted research and trained in the utilization of Dungeons and Dragons in therapy settings, creates a metaphorical journey where preteens encounter obstacles and face dilemmas that parallel their own experiences and challenges. In addition to the game itself, "Social Legends" incorporates various therapeutic activities and exercises that target emotional regulation, self-esteem, social skills, and resilience.

A Supportive Interaction Group for Teens

Welcome to "Grow and Thrive," a transformational group designed exclusively for teenagers seeking to enhance their feelings of belonging and community. Using board games, card games, art, and interactive activities, this empowering program offers a supportive and dynamic space where teens can develop essential tools for navigating their social interactions, managing emotions, and fostering healthy relationships. Sarah Lynch brings her expertise from extensive work with youth to provide a nurturing yet engaging environment for teens to explore and practice vital skills that promote their well-being. This group focuses on cultivating a safe and fun space to develop friendships, improve self-esteem, and feel heard. "Grow and Thrive" equips teenagers with practical tools to navigate the complexities of their social worlds, and manage the pressure that comes from societal expectations, growing up, and fitting in.

A Role-Play Game-Focused Social Group for Adults

No experience in Dungeons and Dragons necessary - come ready to learn and find joy in this dynamic group workshop. In a safe, supportive environment, participants embark on collaborative storytelling adventures, using role-playing to explore personal challenges and foster emotional growth. Guided by Dr. Adam Mills, a trained facilitator and D&D enthusiast, players develop skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving while building meaningful connections. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this group offers a unique blend of creativity and self-discovery, all while having fun in a fantastical setting.
