About Eleanor

Dr. O'Meara is a License-Eligible Psychologist who is here to help people feel more like themselves again. She works with children, adolescents, college students, emerging adults, and established adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, body image concerns, Autism, and ADHD.

Eleanor brings a wealth of clinical experience to her work, having provided individual, group, and family therapy in inpatient psychiatric clinics and therapeutic day school settings. Through this work, she has developed a deep, practical understanding of what real progress looks like.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and always centered on you. Dr. O'Meara draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, blending these tools to fit each client's unique story rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. Her goal is to help clients build practical coping skills, gain self-awareness, and make changes that genuinely align with their values.

Eleanor has a special interest in attachment and relationship dynamics, as well as supporting individuals who identify as an Adult Child of an Alcoholic (ACOA). Her doctoral research explored how family histories of addiction shape relationships and well-being, and that depth of understanding continues to inform how she connects with clients in this area today.

More than anything, Dr. O'Meara is passionate about creating a space that feels genuinely safe, warm, and free of judgment; a place where clients can show up as they are and be met with understanding. She believes every person's story is unique, and she's dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they build greater self-compassion, self-understanding, and lasting well-being.
