Teen Process Group

Led by Dr. Rosenberg

Adolescence is tough!  Starting the first two years of high school, possible school transitions, trying to make new friends, and the pressure of academics can be so much for young teens to manage.  The mission of our teen process group is to promote a healthy sense of self, build some resiliency to struggles, learn appropriate boundaries, gain a sense of identity and strength, and create connection and belonging with other female identifying peers.

We strive to create a safe space for female identifying teens to process their own struggles, work on growing self-esteem, reflect on the pressures they experience as a young woman and grow as a group to create a community of reflection and respect. Topics include, but are not limited to: stress, body image, healthy relationships, processing the turmoil of COVID-19, and more.

Women's Empowerment Group

Led by Dr. Azimuddin

Women’s Empowerment is the concept of helping women realize the tremendous power they already carry. The female spirit needs to be nurtured and what better way to do it than to share in experiences with others who may have walked similar journeys.

The Women’s Empowerment Group focuses on creating a dialogue around the common struggles and challenges women face and helping each other grow into their power. Topics may include self-esteem, boundaries, self-care, but the group directs the conversation to whatever they feel is resonating with them at any given moment. The goal is to share connections with other courageous women in order to access one’s full potential and help others do the same.

Mind-Body Connection

A Yoga-Informed Process Group

Led By Erin Trainor, LPC, E-RYT 200

Mind-Body Connection is the idea that psychological, social, and physical stressors can impact both the health of the body and emotional wellness.  From everyday events to trauma, all stress, even from positive life-changes, can affect our psychological well-being.  This can impact how we feel about ourselves; the quality of our relationships; and our ability to cope and manage our emotional experiences.

During our Mind-Body Connection Group, we use practices such as grounding/embodiment, deep breathing/relaxation, guided meditation/visualization, group processing, and gentle movement techniques to promote body awareness and the mind-body connection.  The goal is to use the connection and validation of a group setting to increase self-awareness, stress management, and resilience in a safe atmosphere.

We are currently looking for participants for our Mind-Body Connection Group.  Dates are TBD based on participant census and location availability.  Please contact Erin (info below) to express interest in this group.
